Hosting of Victorian Budget

Once again, the Victorian Department of Treasury and Finance selected Eye Media Australia to host the critical 2011 budget launch website following a flawless record of Eye Media undertaking this massive Lotus Domino hosting challenge in previous years.

From the moment of going live on May 5, the Victorian budget website sustained thousands of simultaneous downloads of budget papers from business, students, media and the community each minute.

The initial minutes and hours from the moment of budget launch are one of the most massive periods of load on a state government website for the entire year - the equivalent of hundreds of thousands of printed pages in the initial hours of going live.

Department of Treasury and Finance returned to using Eye Media to support and host the launch this year from the company's Camberwell datacentre, where 2 dedicated servers were put in place to provide high speed downloads during the initial hours of massive demand.
